So my homepage tells me that my last update was 4 weeks ago.

It seems WAY longer than that. But whatevs.

Anywho, I thought I would let ya'll know what I'm up to because, I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty fucking sweet.


As of right now, I am down in good ol' Chillicothe, Ohio attending The Recording Workshop. One of the most well-known audio engineering schools in the country. All while I'm getting school credit towards my music technology major at Capital. It pretty much fucking rocks. And it will continue to rock for the next 2 months that I'm down here.

So here is a run down of this place:
-5 different full recording studios
     -Each with at least 1 isolation booths and a live room; 2 of them with 4 iso. booths and a live room
-One studio designed by the engineer who designed Jimi Hendrix's studio, Electric Ladyland Studios
-A selection of over 130 microphones (ranging from about $50 to $6,000)
-ProTools (industry standard audio recording program) lab with 10 workstations
-One studio built for Sound-For-Picture (movies, television) production and foley (sound effects) recording
-Over 300 plaques of CDs worked on by graduates of the program (Some artists include: David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Backstreet Boys, Beyonce, Rancid, The Smashing Pumpkins, Third Eye Blind, Prince...just to name a few that come to mind.)
-Students from over 10 states and 3 countries

And that is just the tip of the iceberg. This place is incredible.

For me, the coolest part of this whole experience is the fact we are in the studio, doing hands on learning, for a minimum of 3 hours a day...and once things really get going, it can get up to 6 or 7 hours a day. Which, in the grand scheme of things, isn't really a lot compared to what a real recording session is but...it's school. It's the best possible schedule someone could have while still calling it a school.


Well that is just a little intro. I'll do my best to keep updates about how cool it is here.



But...the worst part of this? I'm away from my Lauren :( :( :(

I hate it. It sucks. I just wish she could come down and live with me here! Only in a perfect world though :/

But surely enough, we are working through it! And even though we are 3 hours away from each other, just knowing that she is in my life and loves me makes the luckiest man in the world!!!



But yeah. Like I said, I'll do my best to keep things updated and let you in all the coolness of The Recording Workshop. Maybe I'll even try to post some pictures :)

We start recording bands on Monday!!! :D :D :D

I suck at updating.



I miss Lauren.

I turn 21 on Monday.

If you think about it, it really is your last significant birthday.

When you turn 13, you are a real teenager and can go see PG-13 movies without mommy and daddy.
16, you can drive.
17, you can see rated R movies.
18, you can smoke, buy porn, and vote.
And 21, you can drink.

If you want to get really technical, at 25, you can rent a car.

But what comes after that??? 40, when you are over the hill???


I just feel like I'm getting old. Yeah, it's only 21, but still. I have been alive for more than two decades. That is just craziness.



And to top it all off, I might not even be able to go out and "celebrate" my birthday on Monday because of a stupid Video Production project that is due on Tuesday! Grrrrr.

But I do have a fancy new, horizontal license. And I smiled this time. Just for Lauren. Because I love her.



But anywho. I should probably get back to work. A.K.A. sitting on a couch, watching people play Mario Party 8 on Wii...

It is the truth.

I can't even remember the last time I updated.


But whatevs! I do what I want!

My birthday is in...4 DAYS!!! The big 2-1! Woohoo!


I get to see Lauren on Tuesday :D The best birthday present I could EVER ask for! 


We chatted online today, and traded pictures of houses we want to move in to for about...an hour.

We are such losers. I love her so much :D




It is now 6:04am. Just 20 minutes ago, I was still in the recording studio. Hahaha. Craziness. What can I say...I love what I'm going to school for! Sometimes... :P


I have a massive group project due on Tuesday for Video Production. It's about lowering the drinking age to 18. I get to interview a police man. It's pretty exciting.

I also have two radio spots due later today for Radio Production which I haven't done yet...


School is lame x 10. I just wanna be done and get a job haha. Fuck that. I already have a job ready for me. They are just patiently waiting for me to graduate haha.




I really need to take a shower.

But who does that anyway?

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UP-P-P-DATE!!!

Today is Friday. It's 1:39pm. I am sitting on the couch at work, updating LJ, watching an intense show on the Discovery Channel about a bank robber who has robbed over twenty banks. Crazy.

After work, I leave for home. I get see my Lauren. I get to go see the St.Eds play tomorrow night and take Lauren out on a date :) It's going to be a good weekend.


This past week was pretty boring. Nothing too exciting. Classes and stuff. Nothing worth talking about so I'm just gonna ramble.


It is now 1:47pm and they are about to catch the bank robber at a hotel. It's exciting.


I have the easiest but the most boring job ever. I get paid to sit on a couch, talk on AIM, watch TV, play Wii, shoot pool. Any and all of the above. It's kinda cool, but can be very very boring.

Oh man. I just turned on Cribs on MTV. They are showing 50 Cent's house...He has a basketball court in his backyard that has "G-Unit" across center court. What a tool. A $1 Million Ferrari Ferrari Enzo. Get a life, Fity.


I get to see Lauren later today :D That is all I can think about right now. It's only been 5 days and I miss her so so so much. I love her.

YO LJ! What it do?!

So, um yeah. I'm bored. Sitting in my big blue chair, updating my LJ, watching who knows what on TV (Two And A Half Men, I think?), waiting to go do my radio show. 


OH YEAH! Everybody (all 3 of you) should listen to my radio show tonight!!! Today is 4 months with my beautiful Lauren, so I'm gonna play a whole bunch of cute songs for her :D :D :D It's online, so you can listen from anywhere!!! Get the stream at www.wxcuradio.com!


I get to see Lauren on Friday!!!

And tomorrow is CouchFest, the concert I put together for the radio station! I have been working so hard on it the past two weeks, I really hope we get a good turn out :-/

And then Friday is the first big Rock Ensemble performance! If you have no idea what I'm talking about...Capital has a rock ensemble which is a bunch of students that get together and play a whole bunch of real popular classic rock n' roll songs. And I am their sound engineer! Ahhh it's so much fun. I hope I don't screw up on Friday!!! Lauren is gonna be there to watch and I want her to be proud of me :D :D :D


Oh man. I'm still bored. This is a pretty long update for me.

Maybe I should start doing updates like all you cool people. With a day-by-day breakdown...

I just found out today I most likely won't be able to go see her this weekend :(

I miss her so much already. I just saw her two days ago. But now I can't see her for another 10 days :(

Stupid rock ensemble rehearsals.


I wish I could do everything in the world that would make her the happiest girl in the world all the time. She never deserves to be upset or sad...especially when it has to do with me. I hate it. Hate it, hate it, hate it.




I love her so much. 


I truly am the luckiest guy in the world because of her. All because of her, these past 3 months and 22 days, I have been the happiest I have ever been.

So ummm, yeah. Lauren wanted me to update my LiveJournal...



I still have no idea how to work this thing.

My Cultural Pluralism midterm sucked hard today.

I skipped my Electronic Media Writing class to take a nap before the test.

I illegally downloaded a whole bunch of music today. My library is now up to 17,136 songs!!! Woo! Go me!!!
